Community Impact
From leading education sessions on native plants and pollinators to conducting research on endangered species and coordinating community sustainability events, I’ve developed the ability to inspire action and foster environmental awareness. Whether guiding students through hands-on learning, analyzing ecosystems, or creating engaging digital content, I bring curiosity, precision, and a people-first approach. For me, environmental work isn’t just about data or programs — it’s about building understanding, connection, and lasting impact.

As a research and education intern, I delivered engaging sessions on native plants and pollinators to students across multiple schools. I conducted research on 50 endangered species spanning 20 local government areas, integrating findings into a GIS map, and collaborated with a 25-person team to develop content for the company’s website and social media platforms.

Supporting sustainability and waste diversion initiatives, as an event assistant, I conducted thorough waste audits, sorting over 13 tons of trash into recycling and compost streams. I educated more than 300,000 event attendees on sustainable practices, increasing awareness and participation, and collaborated with diverse teams to transport and manage heavy materials, ensuring efficient and safe waste management operations.
Pennsylvania Resources Council
Supporting environmental education and community engagement, I coordinated all aspects of the annual symposium for 100+ attendees, including Eventbrite listings, catering, decorations, and event layout. I also created engaging social media content—carousel posts, email newsletters, banners, and animations—to promote the organization’s initiatives, which focus on planting native species and helping the community cultivate sustainable at-home gardens.
WildOnes : Western PA Chapter
Delivering engaging and educational wildlife experiences as tour guide, I lead two-hour little penguin tours for groups of 20+, sharing insights on behavior, conservation, and life cycles. I coordinated closely with fellow guides, surf shop staff, bus drivers, and supervisors to ensure smooth tour operations, while also contributing to scientific research by recording data on over 70 burrows daily, tracking adult penguins, chicks, and eggs.
